New Trends

When it comes to choosing your new kitchen, we are consistently told that the biggest worry is longevity.  With this is mind you have two choices.  You can opt for a safe, classic option that you know will not date or an emerging trend.

We have researched the market and taken some of the guess work away for you.  Here are some of the newest styles and must-haves for your kitchen for 2018:

1.       1. Copper handles and accessories

These particularly work well with darker shades like matt greys and dark blues.

2.       2. Quartz worktops

This year quartz worktops have featured heavily in our customer's kitchen choices.  New quartz styles include a marble effect, as well as the glitzy starlight quartz becoming available in many more colours.

3.       3. Open plan

We are noticing that more and more families are choosing to extend their current properties to incorporate a family living space.  This allows normal home-life to become a more social experience.

4.       4. Big sinks

More of us are opting for a larger sink or even two bowls, we believe this is due to the rise of the spray tap and is useful for multi-tasking, one for food prep and the other for washing and rinsing dishes.

5.       5. Industrial

For this look you could incorporate some of the copper accents as previously suggested, together with a more streamlined and square finish.

6. Concrete and textures

Following on from the industrial theme, match concrete effect doors with real wood worktops or an aged steel splashback to create a unique look.

7.       7.Yellows and blues

After the rise and rise of the grey, it appears that yellows and blues will be the new trending colours over the coming years.

   8.       8. Ultra-thin worktops

Some manufacturers are now offering solid surface worktops in 12.5mm which creates a sleek and contemporary look for your kitchen.
